More and more organisations are branding themselves as IT companies that just happen to perform other functions.

Uber the IT company that does taxis, Amazon the IT company that sells and delivers goods, we are beginning to see new entrants into the legal market branding themselves as IT companies that do legal work.

With this background we will look at both branding and some of the future technologies that could drive such a radical change:

  • In house legal counsel from a major software vendor – DO brands matter?  Does branding help with cross selling opportunities?
  • Back by popular demand Mike Ames will talk about how to brand your IT department.
  • We will have industry expertise to talk about the new technologies including Blockchain, smart contracts,  AI and its application in big data.
  • KPMG will help you with the minefield of a law firm merger – it could be you next!

18:30 Champagne reception in Robert Adams Suite

19:30 Inside barbecue and drinks – Robert Adams Suite

Day Three

“Quotes from our 2015 event…….

The event was attended by 28 IT Directors – this is a snippet of what everyone had to say about it:

Great event… very much targeted at the issues I am facing in terms of helping me gain traction within the firm and so put us in the best position to take advantage of the technology opportunities that are out there. Mike Ames and Sarah Spooner’s presentations in particular were very good

Nathan Hayes

IT Director, Osborne Clark

Really enjoyed the event and the venue was great.

Richard Harris

IT Director, Freshfields

Most valuable networking and “thinking” event this year.. Why? Because the focus was on people / change and transformation rather than technology!

David Aird

IT Director, DAC Beachcroft

As a vendor I’ve been attending legal events for over 10 years and this event was a real shining light. The sheer relevance of the content delivered in an intimate environment is unrivalled. I’d urge any vendor looking to add real value to their clients to attend this event and listen to the discussion taking place; understand the real business challenges that IT Directors face and help build better solutions.

Derek Kindercliff-Jones

Director, Managed Solutions, Phoenix Business Solutions

The speakers were a perfect fit for our current initiatives and the venue was outstanding.

Mike Burton

Head of IT, Cripps Harries Hall

A fantastic event! The speakers were exceptional and the content was relevant and stimulating.  The intimacy created by the limited number of attendees, as well as the event location, really added to the success of this event.

Samia Rauf

Managing Director, EMEA Regional Accounts, InTapp

Thank you for putting on the event, some great thought-leading content from the guest speakers, it is not every day you have the opportunity to listen to the head of legal for Vodafone and prestigious organisations such as PWC and Gartner.

Steve Sumner

IT Director, Taylor Vinters LLP

Networking with a such an interesting set of individuals I learnt more about the challenges you face in delivering value to your internal customers (lawyers), as well as putting in place the communications platform that the clients are looking for in terms of the client engagement that Sarah Spooner, Head of Legal at Vodafone and Mike Ames covered in their sessions.

Andrew Lee

Regional Sales Manager EMEA, ThinkingPhones

It was a great event and no real vendor selling which is unusual!

David Lawson

IT Director, Mattheson

I loved the event – excellent!

John Hunter

IT Director, European Court of Human Rights
