Cornelius Grossmann

Cornelius is the Global Law Leader at EY, a multi-disciplinary professional services organization offering legal services alongside a comprehensive range of non-legal services across the globe. Currently, Cornelius heads a team of more than 2,100 lawyers in over 80 jurisdictions worldwide.

With almost 20 years of professional experience in providing legal advisory services to business, Cornelius has been lead legal counsel in numerous international and domestic reorganizations, focusing on large domestic and international reorganizations, including post-merger integration and operational change projects. His focus has been leading multidisciplinary cross-border projects in close cooperation with his colleagues from other service offerings of EY.

From 1999 through 2007, Cornelius worked with and lead the law practice Donahue & Partners LLP in New York. Prior to this, he worked with Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt/Main and Berlin (1996-98) and Mayer Brown in New York (1995). He is a trained bank clerk and studied Law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany, where he also obtained his PhD. Cornelius was admitted to the German bar in 1996. He is married, has five children and lives in Berlin.
